Just Breathe

If you’re reading this post, it stands to reason that you’re breathing. But, are you breathing in the most conducive manner? You may be thinking, “I’ve managed to provide my body with sufficient oxygen for X number of years,” right? But, let’s just see what happens when you breath intentionally.

Place one hand on your chest and the other on your stomach. As you take a slow deep breath in through your nose, take notice. Which hands rises? If the hand on your chest rose, slow down and repeat. Focus on making that hand on your stomach rise. 

Through intentionally focusing on your breath, you are purposefully giving your mind a break from yesteryear and tomorrow, while also providing more sufficient necessities to more than just your central organs. 

Give yourself five minutes this busy holiday season, and just breathe.
