Linda Horton, M.S. LPC
Linda Horton, MS, LPC, earned a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Woman’s University. She has more than 20 years of experience addressing relationship issues, emotional adjustment, depression, grief and loss, and anxiety. She has also worked more than 12 years with persons affected by life-changing injury and illness, including traumatic brain injury.
Linda’s passion is helping individuals, couples, and families, including members of the LGBT+ community, in managing the challenges inherent in everyday life as well as unexpected and extraordinary circumstances. She strongly believes in the resilience of her clients and their ability, with her mindfulness-based approach to therapy, to effect change in their lives.
She has extensive training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as Family Systems theory. Linda works hard to keep abreast of new developments and important research in her field. She is currently studying the Gottman Method for couples therapy.
