

Kimberly believes that we all have capacity for change, growth, and joy when we feel understood, fully known, and accepted. She wants to walk alongside you as you navigate the challenging and stressful obstacles in life. She believes each person is unique and sees the world differently, and her hope is that she can understand, know, and provide a safe environment for you in order to assist you in the healing and growing process. Kimberly is from Chicago but earned her undergraduate and graduate degree in Social Work from Baylor University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who discovered her passion for counseling through experiencing the ups and downs of life and knowing that hope and joy can exist throughout the journey.
Kimberly spent the of first half of her career working at a Residential Treatment Center on Chicago’s West Side. She was first a Therapist and later the Clinical Director for adolescents and their families who lived in the inpatient psychiatric facility. She specializes in adults, adolescents, families, survivors of trauma, anxiety, depression, shame, mood disorders, PTSD, complex family systems, self-image/self-esteem, interpersonal relationships & conflicts, and suicide. She utilizes various interventions from TF-CBT, CBT, DBT, psychodynamic, narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, family systems, and strategic family therapy. She is also a certified Cognitive Processing Therapy counselor to assist those seeking healing from complex trauma.
