Mariana received a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish/Psychology and her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. She is bilingual, has experience in working with a diverse multicultural population, and worked for non-profit organizations for the past 9 years.
Mariana specializes in working with children and adolescents who struggle with anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, grief, self-esteem, behavior concerns, peer relations, anger management, adjustment issues, and transitioning into young adulthood. Mariana’s approach to counseling includes cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, person-centered therapy among other modalities. She provides individual and group therapy as well as parenting support.
Mariana provides a safe and supportive environment to help foster the therapeutic relationship. She believes in meeting the client where they’re at, empowering, and providing ongoing support/encouragement throughout the process.
