Rachel is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas and a National Certified Counselor. Rachel earned her Master of Science degree in Counseling and is currently pursuing her PhD in Counseling from the University of North Texas. Her work experience includes working at UNT’s Child and Family Resource Clinic as the Assistant Director of Clinical Services, where she provided counseling to children, adolescents, adults, and families for a wide variety of presenting concerns. Rachel has also worked as a play therapist providing services to children in Denton County Schools.
Rachel believes in the power of the counseling relationship and strives to develop an authentic, trusting, and open space for clients to explore their concerns. She strives to meet each client where they are and work collaboratively to meet each client’s individual needs and goals. Rachel seeks to empower clients to develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their concerns and to build upon their existing strengths and resources. Rachel provides individual counseling to address a wide variety of concerns such as depression, life transitions, trauma, grief and loss, aging, illness, and women’s issues. Rachel also provides play therapy for children ages 3 to 10 to address concerns such as behavioral issues or trauma.
