Rachel earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology, continuing on to achieve her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of Texas at San Antonio. She is a licensed professional counselor specializing in bereavement, trauma, child abuse, depression, anxiety, and self-esteem issues. She has worked with all types of death from prolonged illness to homicide. In addition, she works with all ages from 5 years old to adulthood. Rachel practices other modes of counseling that include cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed therapy. She provides client-centered play therapy for children experiencing emotional, behavioral, and social issues. Rachel believes by providing a safe place where clients experience full acceptance, empathy, and understanding they are able to work through, process, and improve their overall mental health. She has had experience working in non-profit organizations and private practice for the past seven years.
