Taylor Counseling Group opens its first office with three counselors and a mission to bring affordable mental healthcare to Dallas and beyond.
Dr. Taylor is appointed to the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counseling. The board has licensing, examination, and rulemaking responsibilities in the professional counseling field. As a board member, Dr. Taylor works with eight other members to protect and promote public health and welfare throughout Texas.
Dr. Taylor is appointed to the Texas Rural Advisory Task Force by Agricultural Commissioner Sid Miller. The Rural Health Task Force is part of the Texas Rural Health and Economic Development Advisory Council. The Council meets twice a year to discuss issues and to provide guidance in economic development, community development, and rural health.
TCG opens its second office in Dallas at the Galleria, providing more North Texans with access to the affordable standard private practice rate of $90 per session.
Dr. Taylor testifies before the Texas Sunset Commission regarding advancements and implementations made by the Texas Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs) Board from 2016 to 2018. Watch the video here.

Taylor Counseling Group sponsors an event for the Depressed Cake Shop. Depressed Cake Shop facilitates pop-ups worldwide that sell customized baked goods and provide a safe place for conversations around mental health. The organization perfectly aligns with TCG’s community support core value.
Taylor Counseling Group opens its fourth office in Coppell, providing four opportunities for affordable, reliable care in DFW.
TCG opens its fifth office in Fort Worth, further reducing barriers to mental healthcare for Tarrant County.
Dr. Taylor is honored with Mental Health America (MHA) of Greater Dallas’ 2019 Pamela Blumenthal Memorial Award. The Prism Awards pay tribute to those who have made a difference in the community on behalf of individuals with mental illness, as well as those who have worked to improve awareness of mental health issues.
