Krista Weaver, MSW, LCSW, C-DBT
I have a strong desire to help people become the most authentic version of themselves, and I work to provide a safe and compassionate space for people to explore their strengths and resilience. It is important to me to collaborate with my clients to reach their unique goals, and build a therapeutic relationship based on mutual respect and honesty.
I use both person-centered and solution-focused therapy approaches to emphasize client’s self-exploration and autonomy, while also collaborating together to create positive change. I utilize CBT, DBT techniques, mindfulness, and other evidence-based approaches to help you navigate challenging life experiences and harmful thought processes.
I have experience working with clients in both group and private practice clinical settings, and have received training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)- helping people overcome PTSD, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I received my Bachelor of Social Work degree from Texas Woman’s University and my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Texas at Arlington.
