Cindy Millet, M.Ed., M.A., LPC-Associate

Cindy Millet is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Lori K. Shaw, LPC-S. She earned her undergraduate degree in Sociology from Biola University and holds master’s degrees in Education and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Cindy also holds professional licenses as a school counselor, teacher, and special education teacher, giving her a broad understanding of the emotional, developmental, relational, and educational experiences that shape individuals and families.

Cindy works with students, adults, and families experiencing anxiety, trauma-related concerns, family challenges, and generational patterns. She takes a holistic, trauma-informed approach to counseling and believes that each person has an innate capacity for healing and growth when given a safe, supportive, and empowering environment.

Drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, person-centered therapy, and psychodynamic approaches, Cindy integrates different therapeutic perspectives based on each client’s individual needs. She is particularly interested in helping clients develop awareness of the experiences and underlying patterns that may be impacting their emotional wellness and relationships.

Cindy’s goal is to create a therapeutic relationship where clients feel genuinely heard and accepted while gaining insight, building resilience, and developing the tools needed to create meaningful and lasting change. She believes counseling is not about telling someone who they should be; it is about creating space for them to understand better who they are and who they want to become.
