Jana Anderson, M.S., LPC-S
I believe that every person has a story, and sometimes we simply need a safe, compassionate space where we can feel heard, understood, and supported as we navigate life’s challenges. It is an honor for me to walk alongside others as they discover their strengths, work through obstacles, and find hope for moving forward.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S) with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University and a Master of Science in Counseling from Texas Woman’s University. I bring more than 29 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families in school settings. Throughout my career, I have seen firsthand the importance of understanding the whole person and collaborating with families and other professionals to support social, emotional, and behavioral well-being. My counseling style is warm, genuine, and person-centered. I want my clients to feel truly seen and heard in a space where they can be themselves without judgment. I believe that meaningful change begins with a trusting relationship, and I strive to create an environment where clients feel safe enough to explore their experiences, recognize their strengths, and take steps toward the life they desire.
I have experience working with a wide range of concerns, including grief, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, foster parenting, adoption, and trauma. My primary therapeutic approaches include person-centered, Adlerian, and solution-focused brief therapy. I also believe that counseling is not one-size-fits-all, so I am open to incorporating other approaches and techniques based on each client’s unique needs, goals, and personality.
One of the things that brings me the greatest joy is helping others recognize their ability to overcome what may be standing in their way. I often think of it as “filling the cups of others”—encouraging, empowering, and supporting people so they can move forward with greater confidence, clarity, and hope.
If you are looking for a compassionate counselor who will meet you where you are and walk alongside you without judgment, I would be honored to be part of your journey. You do not have to navigate it alone.
