Welcome! I am Lindsey Yaros (she/her/hers), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Waco Texas. I strive to work from a holistic, trauma informed and culturally sensitive approach in my therapeutic spaces having come from a robust and eclectic background. I have worked with all ages in medical social work, palliative care, hospice care, child abuse, foster care, and athletics mental health.

My areas of specialty that I most enjoy working in include gender/identity, sexuality, grief & loss, bereavement, chronic and/or terminal illnesses, PTSD, spirituality, anxiety & depression, and trauma. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and I enjoy using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I affirm that one therapy approach does not work for everyone. Therefore, it is my goal to work with my clients together to find what is needed to best fit each person’s personal needs and goals.

I practice with unconditional positive regard, I affirm all LGBTQIA+ folx, and do my best to embody anti racism. I am sex positive and body inclusive. I believe every human being deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. I meet clients where they are and recognize each person to be the expert of their own life. It is my desire for clients to embrace the parts of themselves they may have had to abandon or repress in order to fit in.
