Emma Leach, Practicum Student
Hi, I’m Emma! As a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at Liberty University, I am completing my clinical training at Taylor Counseling Group under the supervision of Lori Shaw, LPC-S.
In a former career as an Assistance Dog Trainer for veterans with disabilities and children with autism, I held space for their hopes, dreams, and fears during our training sessions. I am pursuing my counseling licensure to continue to help others achieve the freedom and quality of life they deserve, simply in a different way. Everyone deserves access to mental health care to increase their cognitive, behavioral, and emotional development.
I enjoy supporting individuals through all walks of life and my passion builds on my experience working with neurodivergent children. My focus in counseling is creating a collaborative therapeutic relationship with my clients and having a servant’s heart in every interaction. While working together, my clinical approach is person-centered to address a client’s holistic wellbeing. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you!
