Rose Ann Hopwood, M.A., LPC
Trauma. Loss. Betrayal. Your body and mind do what they must to make it through. You survive. But sometimes, trauma-based beliefs and feelings stay too long, feel too intense. They interfere with your health, relationships, and work. But relief is possible. Therapy can reconnect you to self-worth, vital relationships, and hope. Facing the fear, hurt, and shame of the past does not have to feel retraumatizing. We work together to build trust and set goals. I offer clients evidence-based therapies like EMDR, CPT and TF-CBT (for kids) that provide a stable path toward healing.
I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas since 2013 and hold a master’s degree in counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. My experience includes providing therapy to adults and children in out-patient, clinical settings.
Groups I serve include those affected by bullying, partner abuse, relational betrayal, spiritual abuse, injustice, acculturation difficulties, infertility, and reproductive trauma. I embrace each client’s unique perspective, seeking to understand and respect their experiences of spirituality, religion, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, and culture.
