Stephanie received her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Religion from Trinity University and her Master of Social Work from The University of Texas at Arlington. She is licensed by the State of Texas as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Stephanie believes that each client is the expert on their own life and that her role as a therapist is to build a positive, non-judgmental therapeutic relationship with them in order to provide a space where they can safely explore whatever they are struggling with and find the solutions that work best for them.
Stephanie works with children, adolescents, and adults and has experience treating many concerns including anxiety, depression, tic disorders, insomnia, childhood behavioral disorders, grief, and trauma. She uses a person-centered, strengths-based approach along with interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused CBT, cognitive-behavioral intervention for tics (CBIT), solution-focused therapy, family systems therapy, and play therapy techniques.
