Christina Turner graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in psychology from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Christina continued her studies in clinical mental health and graduated with her Master of Arts (M.A.) in counseling with a certification in Trauma at Regent University. During this process, Christina completed the requirements needed to become a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA). Christina currently practices as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Texas under the supervision of Jennifer McCurrach, MA, LSSP, LPC-S.
Prior to her undergraduate and graduate degrees in clinical mental health, Christina worked with the deaf culture and spent much of her time serving at church. In conjunction to her Associates in Art (A.A.), Christina received a certification in American Sign Language (ASL). With this certification, Christina was able to spend much of her time advocating for the Deaf community.
As a therapist, Christina has a passion for utilizing a holistic approach with clients. Christina focuses on creating an individualized treatment plan for each client to obtain the most impact within their counseling experience. Christina’s passion resides around helping those who battle trauma, those in need of suicidal prevention, advocating for mental wellness, and other mental health issues.
