During her sophomore year of college at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) Kelsi decided to pursue a degree in psychology after taking it as a course for a semester. It was later on in her degree plan that she discovered her passion for helping others directly. After her time at UTA she decided to attend Dallas Baptist University (DBU) to pursue her goal of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor. Kelsi has counseling experience with different ages, populations and settings. She has worked with teenagers in individual counseling, as well as conducted group therapy for an Adult Intensive Outpatient Program. She also has worked with college aged students in a college counseling center at DBU. Kelsi believes in working collectively with clients to seek out solutions together.
Kelsi is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as well as Person Centered Therapy/Rogerian Therapy. The basis of these forms of therapy rely on the relationships with clients. Kelsi believes that using a collaborative approach will help meet the client’s goals and needs. Kelsi strives to help each client have a safe place to feel heard in which they can explore their concerns. Kelsi provides individual counseling for teens and adults struggling with a variety of concerns such as depression, anxiety, women’s issues, and self-worth.Schedule Online Now
